Elegant Wedding Inspiration at Heaven on Earth Oaks
Heaven on Earth Oaks in Sugar Land, Texas has some of the most unique architecture I’ve photographed at a wedding venue, and this editorial gave us the chance to really take advantage of it.
The bright interiors, oversized windows, soft neutral colors, and beautiful natural light created the perfect setting for romantic wedding portraits.
And this particular corner of the venue might be one of my favorites.
Those Incredible Windows
The windows at Heaven on Earth Oaks are impossible to ignore.
Their shape gives the space so much character while still keeping everything bright, clean, and elegant. They create a beautiful backdrop without needing a lot of additional décor, which is something I always appreciate as a photographer.
The light pouring through them was soft and flattering, and it gave these portraits such a romantic feel.
Spaces like this are also wonderful on a wedding day because you have a gorgeous indoor portrait location even if the Texas weather decides not to cooperate.
A Dress Made for Portraits
The bridal gown was another detail I absolutely loved photographing.
The soft lace, fitted silhouette, sheer sleeves, and long train looked beautiful against the simple white interior of the venue.
I especially love wedding dresses with movement and texture because they add so much to portraits without taking attention away from the bride herself.
Against those huge windows, everything came together beautifully.
Romantic Couple Portraits
This wedding editorial was all about creating portraits that felt elegant without becoming overly posed.
The venue gave us so many opportunities to work with natural light and interesting architecture while still keeping the couple at the center of every photograph.
Those quieter portraits are always some of my favorites — the ones where everything around the couple is beautiful, but the connection between them is still the first thing you notice.
Wedding Inspiration in Sugar Land
Heaven on Earth Oaks offers so much variety for couples planning a wedding around Sugar Land or Houston.
Between the bright ceremony spaces, beautiful architecture, gorgeous windows, and plenty of room to make the venue your own, there are endless possibilities for creating a wedding that photographs beautifully.
This editorial was such a fun opportunity to explore the property and create a little inspiration for couples considering it for their own wedding day.
