Michaela & Cory’s Wedding in Centerville, Texas
Some wedding days feel elegant and romantic. Some feel completely personal and full of personality.
Michaela and Cory’s managed to be both.
They celebrated at a family-owned venue in Centerville, Texas, which made the entire day feel even more meaningful. There was something special about watching them begin this new chapter surrounded by family, friends, and a place that already carried its own history.
And there was so much laughter.
The kind of laughter that makes photographing a wedding easy because instead of trying to manufacture moments, you simply get to watch them unfold. From getting ready through the celebration, Michaela and Cory were completely themselves, and that energy carried through the entire day.
One of the most memorable moments was also something I don’t get to photograph at many weddings.
A Brand of Their Own
As part of the celebration, Michaela and Cory branded a cowhide with their new family brand.
It was such a meaningful way to mark the beginning of their marriage — something completely personal to them and completely fitting for a Texas wedding.
The smoke, the branding iron, everyone gathered around, and their reactions made for the kind of photographs I love most: moments that could only belong to their wedding.
Between the heartfelt moments, nonstop laughter, and traditions that were completely their own, Michaela and Cory’s wedding was joyful, personal, and unforgettable.
